problem with Toshiba DP8070 copier

Hi ,
Recently, i get the error message on the lcd screen of my toshiba dp8070 copier:
IQC service recommended.
by the way, the print quality is very poor. any idea what is the problem and how can be fixed. I thing the complain is coming from a sensor.
Thanks.

You may have a sheet of paper stuck in the drum brush. The longer it stays in the more wear it puts on the drum.

This sensor is below the cleaning and recovery blades in the cleaning assy and looks at the drum.

You can get this message if paper wraps around the drum and blocks the sensor. You can also get it if you have a problem with the developer unit (main drive gear likes to fail, bearing in the rear sometimes locks up too). The developer wont turn, your copies get really light and you get that message.

Very rarely, the sensor might fail, but this usually only happens with a tech vacuuming without touching the frame causing static discharge.

Once problem is resolved, sensor can be reset (08-802 set to 0).
