The dongle looks just like a USB flash drive and plugs into the back right side of the machine near the USB/NIC port (depending on model.) It should be covered by a plastic cover held on by one or two screws (depending on model.) You can plug a dongle into a PC and it will come up as a device but you can't do anything with it. It's proprietary Toshiba, if I knew how to clone it I sure would not say in public.

If you can figure out how to clone the Toshiba enablers, you might be able to retire pretty comfortably (as long as you can stay out of prison). Emujo

Simply turn off the power, plug in the enabler, turn it on and now the MFP is print, scan, or print/scan enabled (depending on dongle) If you have the 2041 dongle, you must upgrade the firmware to 329 (I beilive) to allow the device to work properly. Now, if you know how to create a printer and can find the driver you should be printing. If you can't find the driver, at the RUN command, type \\IPaddress of the MFP and press enter. Double click on one of the shared queues and go to town.

My E720 have following versions (function list):
    F/W Ver : T390SY0U329
    M-ROM Ver : 390M-13
    S-ROM Ver : 390S-05
So, do GM-2040 dongle enable print/scan on my E720 ?
