| When the temperature control circut cannot shut off power to the heat lamps, and the fuser overheats, the LGC bd sends a force off command to the main power switch. If that fails, the thermostats open interrupting power to the lamps. Either the LGC bd is failing to send the OFF command to the lamps, or the switching reguator on the power supply is unable to turn the lamps off. Most of the calls that have required a power supply replacement are for fuser failing to heat, or stay hot, not for an overheating condition. My money is on the LGC bd and a problem with the temp control circuits. EMujo |
