Toshiba 850

What is error code C47 on Toshiba studio 850? Reference IH Board? Could this be the problem? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

1st double check you model or code, C47 is on the 810 and older mfps. If its an 850 it should be c-47X. That being said, it could be any number of items...depending on if you can reset the code and the timing on when it comes back. Thermistors, upper or lower, the connectors that interface the ADU and Fuser through the rear frame, IH board fuse or the board itself, lgc bd or power supply. Get a little more info as to copy count, firmware version, what you've done so far and a little more descriptive on the code ie runs fine for days than code pops...only pops code in am at 1st turn on etc... You're missing the last digit which will help narrow it down though it's usually 471.

Most likely culprits are thermostat (thermofuse, whatever you wish to call it) popped or paper stuck in one of the two connectors (one for fuser, one under fuser).

To check the thermostats, take off top of fuser (two black screws) and check each (there are two) with meter.

Paper in the connectors can sometimes be hard to see. Use a flashlight and look thoroughly in both sides of connectors.

is there also a tech bulletin on the connectors cracking and spreading? ..night be confusing that with a ricoh tho... also these are susceptible to poor wall power... make sure you have a SOLID output at the wall.
