| I had a great one few days ago..Installing 2 C652s and 1 Bizhub 601. Both require 20 amp 115 VAC service. Old Toshiba equipment on 15 Amp line going out. Explained to church pastor exactly what was needed and he had ehectrician come out to do the necessary work (this was a certified electrician) on the Friday before. Hooked the surge suppressor up and power LED was out. Pulled my circuit testor and plugged into outlet. It showed something was wrong, but wasn't sure. Asked the pastor to have the electrician doulbe check for me while I was on site. This guy starts shouting that "he knows that circuit is good" and he always double checks his work. Puts his meter in the outlet and says "see 220 VAC". I said well thats great, but it's supposed to be 115v. He says that not what they told me. Now I can understand how the pastor may have got 115 v 20 amps confused with 220 v 20 amps, but the electrcian put a 115v 20 amp outlet onto the 220 source. And he did this to all 3 outlets. If anything had been plugged into this outlet I'm sure it would have been a cool explosion. EMujo |
