That duplex unit is rather poor. Could be lots of things.

If the duplex mod kit hasn't been installed, I'd start there.

Other than that, troubleshoot. Is the duplex turning? Does the paper make it to the stacker? Does it try to feed (start of second side)? Does it make it through the turnaround?

Answer these and I can probably tell you what's wrong.

Stacks all first side copies, motors working for ~ 1 minute after last copy is stacked but feeding second side doesn't start.

Yes it is obligatory. Unfortunately I had a case that even change of whole duplex unit (factory modified) doesn't help (firmware on machine was as should be).

If it doesn't feed the second side, I'd look at the feed rollers (are they the new style with ribs or the original flatter version) and try cleaning them to see if you can get 1 sheet to feed through. Next, I'd look at the clutches in the feed head (in the front under the top cover of the head). Next, I'd check for obstructions or damage to the mylars in the turnaround. It's very tight in there and hard to find stuff. Try to hand feed a thick envelope through there and see if it will feed.

One of these is your most likely culprit. The duplex mod kit includes the new feed rollers as well as a new clutch.
