166 print problems

Hi.
I have one of this machines and he is connected to one computer by usb cable, and sharing for more 3 computers.
But she is with a lot of troubles with the shared computers in printing and scanning.
If I put one print server it will resolve the problem? they are reliable?

Is the computers have the same OS? because ive encounterd same problem and there's 5 pc's connected. It occurs after 1 pc is formated to vista. And the rest is XP. SO what i did i download a new driver from toshiba that is compatible with vista and xp. And its all done, problem solved... try it..

Not all print servers support printing with e166. There is one tested and approved - PS03a and successor - myUTN50. Google them and You will find local representative. It won't be fast as e167+PCL but it works. And it is cheaper network solution.

Check your USB cable - it must be 3m or less. Check for quality (USB2) cables.
