CDF0 on an ES-352
ES-352 pops a CDF0 code recently. The machine has 250k and starting last week it has been popping this code usually in the morning, then the customer reboots and the machine works fine. Then it doesnt pop up for a day or 2 then it does it another morning. The book just says check the connectors, replace the offset tray motor, replace offset board, replace lgc board. I reseated connections, cleaned the sensors, etc., but it came back this morning. I plan on ordering the offset motor today.
Im assuming that the motor is just going bad, or some quirky thing on the little offset board. Ideas?

I've never had this but I would look to see if there is a home sensor in there. Any sensors on those machines that are close to the fuser can die from the heat after awhile. Motor would be my second choice.

I agree please change homesensor first and look for binding and mechanical problem.Make Test in 03 177 if it comes up only in the morning maybe it is a mechanical problem or the homesensor fault.
Good luck

F 120
Format Hd in 08 690-2. If not help change HD and upgrade your Firmeware. I have that much times You have istruct customer to shut down mfp with keybord that help the most of times.

I ordered the home sensor, then the customer says its went away. I replaced it anyway just to be safe. Today he called and said it did it again this morning CDF0, so he rebooted and the machine was fine. I have ordered the oct motor now.
Will reformatting the hd and/or firmware reset my network settings?

hy guy
no it dosent i think you lost some user docmuents but net settings remain propper so if there is nothing important for the user there is no problem to format hd. Also if F 120 come back you have to change HD and also reload the Firmeware.Think thats all

My error code is CDF0 not F120. So an update, I did replace the home sensor and the oct motor. The customer just called back and said that it has been doing it again for a few weeks. He has logged the time and date for each time it says it, then reboots the machine and its fine. Does it about once a day. Toshiba had instructed me to replace the motor and cut the wire ties that they may be too tight and over a long period of time over the fuser could cause interference. I did all that but didnt work. I just ordered the oct board since it is pretty cheap and see what that does.
