    CF50 on estudio 281c

Intravia says 'color auto toner sensor problem'. I am new to this machine, can someone lead me in the right direction to fix this. Thanks.

These use a Auto Toner Sensor which is optical in nature. It's mounted on a sol. over the revolver unit and is accessed by a cover with one screw in it which makes up part of the exit cover. You'll have to remove the finisher (if present) to access this cover. The bridge unit can stay. I don't have a manual in front of me so someone else can help with what CF50 means exactly.

The sensor assy. has a little grey rubbery looking reference plate it must remain clean and even if you touch it I have had them flake out but you can remove the whole assy and blow it off good with air. There's another sensor behind it (reflective type) which detects the toners and you might as well clean it off and vac out the whole area.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

Color auto-toner sensor abnormality: The connection
of the color auto-toner sensor cannot be
detected at the initialization, or the output value of
color auto-toner sensor when the revolver starts
rotating for initialization is out of a specified range
