I believe I've seen this problem before, but usually I clean the sensor in the back of the revolver unit and its fine. I believe I blew enough canned air in behind the revolver to clean that sensor, but it's now stopped the machine cold...
Anyone ever have any of those sensors go bad? I'm having a HECK of a time figuring out which sensor it is in the parts list.
    Thanks in advance,
    OC

ok.. its been a while... the sensor u need to replace is the one that is removed from above the revolver unit ..remove the plastic cover that the copies rest on (or if u have finisher remove finisher, bridge unit, then cover) remove the screw holding the sensor bracket on and remove the sensor from machine. clean it.... test ir with 03 mode....
[FAX] button: ON/[COPY] button: OFF ([FAX] LED: ON/[COPY] LED: OFF

    hold #2
    check "c"
block sensor with some similar plastic as toner cartridge see if it works.

    I fix copiers ...Well Sorta
