    e-STUDIO5520C Won't Increment Copy Count

Anyone have some idea where this is stored on the machine? We have two SRAM's - I'm thinking one of them. Tried initializing one of the SRAMS but no dice. This is a new machine and the copy/print/scan counts remain at 0.

    Thanks!

it may be set for development counter and not for page count. There is a service code for this but it is a one time use only. Once changed it cannot be undone. Also it the "nvram" is corrupt or incorrect you will get counter errors as well.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

    Mr. Spock,

I'm familiar with NVRAM on many other machines. This one doesn't have anything named that (I'm thinking we are talking RAM-S [SYS PCB] and RAM-L [LGC PCB]. These are the little PCB's with plastic covers on them. You mention a development counter - but again - I'm not finding such a thing. I can order either or both of these items as I don't know where copy counts are stored.

    Your thoughts?

    Thanks for you help.

Is your main counter changing? If not then it could be your copier is in "line mode", 08-203 set to 1. If that is set on 1 and not 0 then your counter won't register copies.

This is a ricoh rebadged and the standard Toshiba codes do not work.
The book mentioned nvram corruption but I think it should be the sram. the development counter is a service code to change not a board. Again it is a one time change and can not be undone. I have not seen one and was only looking at the service manual to see what it said about this machine. Like arnh79 I was thinking that the 203 code was not set right until I saw that this was a rebadged ricoh box.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

I have checked SH for eS5520c and there is 05 and 08 modes. Also there is a 08 203. So Calcucatus check it out if 203 solution is working and let us know.

I'm sure you have it in line adjust mode. It's a Toshiba made machine... 6530c, 6520c, & 5520c. I think you are thinking of the next models up they are Ricoh boxes.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

Yes, this is a Toshiba box, no doubt about it. My colleague is going to the check the 08-203 setting. I'll report back when I hear from him. Thanks in advance for everyone's help! CC
