1st and foremost, doen't matter what version the MFP is at, it has to have the print, or print/scan enabler plugged in to make it a printer/scanner. Won't even work as a USB device if no enabler. Look for a colored USB thumb drive plugged in near the ethernet port to verify this. 2nd, if the MFP is under a maintenance contract, call your rep and have them come out and do the update. Should be free of charge. If you have no contract I would reccomend having a Toshiba service guy do this, should be around 100-150 $$$. Enabler will set you back 800 to 1000$.
