    estudio 230 C970

Okay, new drum, blade, developer, fuser, etc.

Machine goes into a C970. Charge corona looks just fine, it is the sawtooth type of corona with a grid. Drum will go completely black with toner when try to run a copy so obviously something is wrong with charge, but what?

    Ever seen this?

    Thanks

    Kelly

No broken wires. Would not this cause NO TONER on drum?

cut three turns off m/c spring. If so, need new spring. Happened a ton on e450 series, (along with multiple mods also)

okay, but spring is pulling the sawtooth corona, not a standard wire. Would this make a difference? Also when we go into service mode and do an 03-252 to turn on the corona it immediately pops the C970 code. Sounds like a buzzing from inside, must be a short somewhere in there, just having a lot of fun trying to find out what it is arcing on!

    Any tips are appreciated!

yes, happened to me on the 230 series a few times. Also check on the machine where the m/c goes into, I have had that fall apart.

The connector at the rear of the machine was out of place. What a job to get to it! Sheesh, could Toshiba bury it any deeper?
