estudio 210c error code F10

Hey all,

Can anyone help me out with this? I keep getting an error code F10. I know i has something to do with the HD. Just wondering if its safe to re-format the HD even though i don't have the firmware? Isn't the HD simply used for image storing during copying?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thx in advance

Jon

you are ok to format the hdd, but it may require replacing
no firmware should be required either way

Question We have the same issue with a 310c

Just wondering if you figured out how to clear the F10 code. We have the same problem with an E-Studio 310c (which is extremely similar to the 210c). We haven't had any luck with trying to repair and/or getting the machine back up and running.

You need to reformat the hard drive using the copier to format it.
It is an 08 service code (I don't have it right now). If formatting does not work then the hard drive will need to be replaced.

Speaking of e310/210 series. Can you use a fuser from a e210c in a e311c series?

Solution

Formatting of the HDD
<Procedure>
(1) Turen ON the power while the digital keys [0] and [8] are pressed simultaneously.
(2) Confirm that "Test Mode" is displayed on the control panel. Enter the code "690"
and press the [START] key. The display changes to "System Mode".
(3) Enter "2" and press the [SET] or [INTERRRUPT] key.
(4) [WAIT] is displayed.
(5) Turn OFF the power after the message [REBOOT THE MACHINE] is displayed.
