Just got two 6540C's in and they put out an awesome color copy. Not really a lot of differences in the box, but panel options are great. May take some time to get used to them, but when you do, things are easier to do.

I have to say im disappointed so far, they changed all the test modes codes, and you still need to power the machine off and turn it on to get into the modes and there is no real mechanical changes, and the web browser is "not supported" and they are telling us not to promote it. Seems like they should have made more improvements before putting out this new series.

TheY (Toshiba) always rush models out (the es-3511, 2500c, 355), then the mods, firmware, and other stuff follow. Keeps us busy upgrading firmware and fitting mods though.

I havn't seen the new codes yet. Got a training course in a few month for the new models. I work on sharps sometimes and the codes they use are fantastic.

    :)

It's calling e-bridge X, it has service UI like Minolta but it was disabled for a while.
It will be enabled in next firmware. You can access it from normal copy mode.
And yes, over 90% of the codes has changed. All 3-digit are out.
OS Hardware are different, firmware are based on Linux and weight ~700MB.
There are tools to convert all data from eBridge3, like addressbook, templates, e-filling.
From hardware side there is only 3 bigger changes - new main chargers, drums and some changes to transfer belt - to improve image quality which is better. All others are minor.
We have to wait for new firmware to make a call - is it better ??

has anyone had experience of installing these machines in a customer environment. We have had some driver issues and speed issues amongst other things and that with just 2 EX-Mash machines. 1 EX-BPs two follow one of which is a fiery.

Have you configured the Port properly to improve print speed. Change the Protocol from RAW to LPR. Make the LPR Queue name, print, in lower case. Unselect Byte Counting and SNMP status.

What OS and 32/64 bit are you installing the drivers on?
