    Toshiba 452 control panel problem

A different tech went on the call and the panel was hard to operate. Said you had to push very hard to get buttons and screen to work. He put a new panel on and said all was good. Now cust called back with same problem and I have to go there. Anyone had this problem or know what might cause it? Thanks

Didnt read the post properly. I have had hard drives cause problems in the past such as this. I just tried it on the off chance it might work. After a format and firmware (i love installing firmware, gives me a chance to question the meaning of life while i wait).
I have had this once where the cable itself caused the problem but some one trapped it slightly. Has the screen calibration been done?
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

Must ask same question like michaelc. Did you calibrate touch screen?

A different teck went there the first time. When I get there I will first calibrate the screen and hope that is all it is. The other tech said it was more than just that. We'll see.

Format hard drive (make sure to back up templates, address book, settings first), update or reinstall firmware, calibrate display panel. One panel having and issue is understandable two thou is not panel related. Lastly make sure they have a clean source of power and a power filter on the machine. Once a while back I had a machine fighting for power with a fridge which caused the display to lag, stick etc.
