How to enable External Key counter in Toshiba eStudio355

    Hello,

I have a Toshiba eStudio355 copier. I connected External Key counter harness on the board. Is there any procedure that i should configure so as to enable this feature on the copier ? If so, How should enable it ?

    Thanks in advance,
    Ramesh

    08 - 202 set to 1 for coin controller.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

    Thanks very much !!

I have a question. Is this going to stop the un authorized users from copying at the printer ? Correct me if iam wrong.

My idea is...i want to setup external key counter so that the users should not access it. Only authenticated users should get the access to copy. Please help me in this regard.

    Many Thanks,
    Ramesh

Just use the Department Codes function
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the restraints

I didnt read the first post properly, If you are using swipe cards for people to use the machines then it depends. I am not sure on the print side. I have a customer who needs cards t copy but prints do not as each person logs on to the network which the printer is on. Since I messed up I will give you the code relating to it and hopefully some one with more knowledge can help you more. Also as sdrawkcab said, department codes could work to.

    08+202

    0: No external counter

    1: Coin controller

2: Copy key card (This value is valid only when “2” is set to 08-201.)

    3: Key copy counter

    4: Key card for OEM1
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.
