E Studio 550 Stapler Problem

I'm an instructor at a small HVAC school. We just purchased a used 550 and it seems if everything seems to work fine except we cannot get the stapler to work. We have loaded it with staples and followed the manual's directions but no staples. On the touch screen, it does not show anything regarding stapling. If anyone can offer some suggestions and we can get this to work, there will be several very happy instructors. Perhaps even a couple of unhappy students. Thanks in advance. Dan Kohlman

Since you are a repair tech of sorts.

Are there any "finishing" options available under the sort tab??

If not check the plug between finisher and copier. Also there should be a small daughter card on the logic pwb(back side right as you look from the back side).

i agree with mr. spock..sounds like ya probably don't have a finisher board installed on your copier to enable the finisher..
