E Studio 4511 Scan to folder Question

My client wants to be able to scan to different workstation addresses, not just one network folder. Is this possible?

Re: E Studio 4511 Scan to folder Question

This is entirely possible but you need to setup the machine slightly different to work.

As you would all ready know, you only have two spots to put in a scan to folder destination in the machine. What you will need to do is to remove one of those and then use templates for all the other locations.

When you setup the template, use the Remote 1 of Remote 2 (which ever you cleared out to start with) and enter in the details of the scan destination there for each user / workstation.

From there, users will then go to the machine, press 'Templates', select the scan to folder template group that you setup and then their name or workstation ID, how ever you set it up from there.

Another way of scanning is to scan to the local drive of the copier and then get users to retrieve their scans from the copier. If SMB is enabled on the copier, then you can go to \\copierIPaddress\file_share and the scanned images can be found there.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
