When copying or scanning from the RADF, the machine may freeze at the “Ready” screen and requires rebooting to return the machine to an operational state. Also intermittent F110 and F111 errors may occur and
could be listed in the machine’s error history.
CAUSE
There is a possibility that the 5.1VB line from the power supply is insufficient for correct operation of the SLG
board and the RADF. This must be confirmed by measuring the F205 fuse output on the copier’s power supply
with a digital multimeter. If the voltage is confirmed as being below 5.0VDC, it is likely to be the cause of the
symptoms described above, and the countermeasure step listed below should be applied.
COUNTERMEASURE
The following information should only be conducted by experienced technical staff. A good quality
Digital Multimeter and an insulated pot adjusting screwdriver should be used for this procedure! The
output for the 5VB line needs to be adjusted to exactly 5.10VDC measured at F205 fuse on the Power supply.
This output voltage is adjusted by a trim pot on the power supply marked VR2. It needs to be adjusted
clockwise (whilst monitoring the voltage output of Fuse F205) and is extremely sensitive so will not need to be
adjusted very far to obtain the correct voltage. DO NOT EXCEDE 5.10VDC or serious damage to the machine
will result.
