when turn on machine "broken registration"
when i press *,1,3 keys write c38
what is that code?

i believe that error points to the process unit. replace it

C38 Replaced process unit error

The broken registration sometimes corrupts the nvram and when "repaired" it checks the cartridge to see if it is new. Try 08-689-1 then 08-673 start.

hi everyone,

i too have the same problem - after overriding the system yesterday with *13 to get past the passwords, this morning i couldn't use the new department code passwords i had set on copier.

i used *13 again to try and go through and reset all passwords, and now i have 'broken registration'.... this doesn't sound good!?

i am viewing a previous post about this from acetler, and the link to the copierprofessionals pdf is broken...

help!!

i don't think there are any problems (unless i have caused them) because the copier worked fine yesterday when we overrode the codes.

HELP!!!
