    Eating Developer Motors

I have a 3511 that has gone through three developer motors in the past year. Never had this problem and any other 4511/3511's so I don't know what's causing it. Somehow the shaft gear on the motor assembly is getting ground down. Has anyone had this problem or hint what to check? Also is there a part number just for the gear shaft since the motors themselves are still working and not that old?

    Re: Eating Developer Motors

I am assuming you mean the black dev drive. I would check the black dev drive clutch on the machine (gives drive to the black dev unit). The bushing on the front can get caked up and make it very stiff. Also check that all the drive is running nice and smooth from the drive to the dev unit.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.
