es 550 creasing paper

I have an e-studio 550 that is creasing paper from LCC. I have changed feed tires and cleaned registration and transport rollers. It happens before the drum and the paper seems to be a little crooked and will happen on quite a few sheets when it happens, but by the time I get there I cant get it to repeat. They have saved samples for me each time but I cant get it to do it when I'm there. This has been going on for about a month and it is going to drive me crazy. Its happening on just regular copies, not duplexing sorting or anything. I thought maybe registration roller swelling on ends or something. If anyone has had this problem please let me know. The copier only has about 630k on it. I have 6 others out there with more copies and never had this problem on any of them.

have had similar problems with LCC's on an es-65 and a 6570..i believe these are pretty much configured in the same way..problems i've seen before were that the paper tray was unlevel..( usually due to customer having put paper on bottom of unit while tray was in up position at some piont in time..)hope this helps..

Does the machine have a tandem LCF or external LCF?

I had the same problem several times with this particular machine. I finally started looking in the paper feed from the LCT to the machine. I almost always find a small piece of paper in the path of the incoming sheet. Sometimes I also had to remove the LCT and covers to even see that floating piece that was interfering with the incoming paper.
