WAIT - Copy Process -VS- Print Process

    3511/4511

After any B&W copy the unit goes into WAIT for a few seconds after copying.
When something is printed to the unit there is no WAIT after the print comes out.

What is the extra steps that a copy process would have that the print process does not?

It is not a image quality control process and does not sound like adding toner process. It happens after every copy process and never a print process.

I would try repartitioning/format/flash or just replace HDD/partition/flash. Your best bet is to have the customer wrap a long chain around the copier and use it as a boat anchor.

Sorry to drift from the original topic, but your avatar looks like the Lexitron word processor I use to work on.

These machine were rubbish and you have just noticed one of the many quirks that Toshiba somehow managed to build in to it.

Take the previous advise and make the machine more useful as something other than a copier.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
