You don`t have to replace the laser. You can order a CA1 mod kit, but I am not sure if they are still available from Toshiba. You can take it from an old junk machine also.

Order ricoh part number AX06-0181,take care when fitting as the polygon motor is top mounted.you don't need the software update if you fit this.

Good day, I wanted to know if someone then installed the ricoh AX06-0181 polygon mirror on the toshiba E-studio 16S and if it was compatible and working!
