e-600 sys board

hi all,
e-600 was not able to boot, it stays at the initial screen ,I've found that this is from the sys board.
I've ordered a new sys board from Toshiba, but during the installation of the new board it was not possible to do the firmware upgrade.
it just fails every time because it is not possible to upgrade the OS sys firm items.
i am using the USB thumb method to do this.
any ideas guys? Thanks in advance.

Did you take the nvram chip and move it from old pwb to the new one?
Did you replace the hard drive because that will do the same thing?
Try 3 and clear at power on then option 1 then option 3 (need to power off and on in 3-clear after each. Then try the upgrade. If these do not work you may need the recovery jig to force the upgrade onto it.

thanks for your replay,
I've moved the nvram from the old sys PWA to the new one, and I've tried more than one HDD and it was the same.
I've did the C+3 codes but nothing changed.
the problem is that i don't have the Rom writer adapter at the moment to do the JIG updating method.
regards and thanks again

Did you update OS first only, and after that all the rest. Most resent firmware will request such a procedure.

i know this is just for the Hudson I (350/450) and i've did it many times but for the Riho grande series it goes the same way stated in the handbook.
if you do have any more please advice.
thanks in advance.
