e-studio163

having problem on e-studio163, very high background and no image. what could be the possible defect? need help. thanks in advance. i need manual for this model and willing to swap to whatsoever i have.

i do not attempt to fix yet since i'm not familiar with toshiba models. the authorize tech could not fix the problem, seems they concentrate on high voltage power supply, leaking or poor contact at terminals. i'm a xerox tech and i have no manual for estudio163. can you share it to me?

give it a try, high background normally caused by the bias on the developer unit, no image due to the charger, so to conclude it possible is the HVT. Hope this info helps.

i think that you must change drum to fix your problem because i think your copier worked in bad condition like very humid and or your drum haved direct contact whit sun, but i put the E-S163 service Handbook for you to download it and solve your problem, and suggest to you see page 3-31 to 3-36 of service handbook to high voltage adjustment if you think that can help you to solve your problem.
