Toshiba e555- says add comp paper when trying to copy with ADF using Legal size paper. Has anyone ever seen this on that series, I don't know if its a sensor or board problem on the top feeder, works fine off the glass.

run the adjustments (min/max) for the side guides on the adf and this should fix this issue.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!
as in "add computer paper"? 11" x 15"? Yes clearly there is some problem with original width detection. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

It works ok for letter R on adf.
put paper guides all the way in (min adjustment) and perform 05-367
put paper guides all the way out (max adjustment) and perform 05-368

[QUOTE=chas101;304040]Thanks for the advice I really appreciate it, I will give that a try.[/QU
Unfortunately that didn't work, any other suggestions? It does work on 8.5 by 11 letter R.
I do not have one of this but the previous models had 2 or 3 sensors that determined length on the original tray. I would suspect one of these is not working correctly. look in the service manual for the test procedure in 03 mode.
