Need to make sure the USB stick is 2GB or less and formated in FAT, not FAT32 or any other format.
done. 256 and FAT, not FAT32.
I have seen some USB sticks come with a partition that has software on it and this can cause this issue. Have you tried a different stick??
Also make sure the firmware is installed on the stick correctly, you should see a 352_452 folder and a file called mentusb.o in the root dir on the stick, but I suspect your problem is that the original firmware was too low (ie. v010 or v020) which requires a pre-install firmware to get it to v110, you must do this install before any newer version, then I would always go to v232 before upgrading to v355 or whatever is the newest (not sure v232 is required, but has always worked for me). It's been a while but if I'm not mistaken you have to do the pre-install with fat, but the later versions with fat32.
The stick does not have a partition like you said. I wiped it, formatted FAT, put the correct folder and the mentsub.o file. How do I get the older firmware to pre-load? Thanks!
the pre-load must be done from a bootable HDD, if this is your situation I'd recommend calling a trained service technician, sorry.
