    Estudio 202L Warming up/ Shutting Down

    This machine is about 6 years old with about 150K on it. It has recently started freezing up. The machine will say warming up but just stays like that. Then reboot it and it may freeze again or come up to ready. When it comes to ready it will work for the most part. (Customer says it also freezes while saying COPYING, but I did not witness this) When I try to shut it down by holding the energy save hard key then the Shut Down touch key, the screen says shutting down but freezes like that.

    I want to reflash the firmware, but I can't find it on fyi.toshiba.com. We used to be a Toshiba dealer, now we only service the machines left in the field. When I go to tech-to-go then product information. This model series is not even listed. Is it not supported?

    Could someone give me advice on fixing the problem or point me in the right direction of the firmware?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    try formatting the HDD first, very common on these machines.

    Thanks. I will try to reset the HDD tomorrow. My email is nsipe@dtios.com if you would email me the firmware. Although, I want to be sure it's for this model first.

    200L = 230 = 280 = same firmware
    202L = 232 = 282 = same firmware
    203L = 233 = 283 = same firmware.
    And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

    If you have it, could you please email me the firmware for the Es202L?

    I have dropbox, but have not really used it. My boss says we will be using it in the future. Help me with it and I'll retrieve it. Not sure what info I would need.

    Goto tech-to-go then product info select BW digital 10cpm-30cpm in left side then Estudio282 series in right side
    click product information look for the usb files (they stopped adding the 202L to the file name but it is the same firmware)
    .

    I did, I've done that many times, but it is not listed. I dont know why. There is no 202L, 200L, 232, 230, 282, or 280. I've inserted a print screen of what I see. I'm not sure what a model 202S is though. Never heard of that one.nathan work.jpg
