I believe the letters are the service phone# scrambled...could be SYS bd or scanner bd. This is an obsolete model ( at least 15 years old) good luck finding anything short of a wholesaler that might sell you the entire MFP for parts. Emujo

replace sys board and it will work again

I think that to repair the machine (unless you get the parts dirt cheap) might be worth an up grade.
