    E-Studio 3530c paper feed issue

IMG_20131021_061247_295.jpgIMG_20131021_061234_994.jpgThe paper is not feeding from the LCF. It doesn't even get to the second tray feed rollers, but jams in the LCF roller. It often makes a grinding sound (clutch?).

I have attached pics of what paper looks like. Both rollers turn and are buffed, clutches seem to operate well by visual inspection from the back of the machine.

Now we had the bypass feed also jam. Is this a sensor failure?

I have the manual. It's not particularly helpful at this point, as it doesn't cover the LCF at all. Also, it just say to replace the sensor when you get the E190 code (oops, important info there!). But, is the paper feed sensor in the 2nd drawer or the LCF? Where can I order these sensors?

I have ordered a new clutch and will update when it is replaced. In the meantime, we are just using an upper drawer.

OK, I'm a moron. I didn't check the settings for the LCF drawer! Apparently somebody had changed the settings for "Thick" paper. When I reset them to "Plain" it has worked perfectly. Doh!

I hope that this is helpful for any other newbie morons out there.

Have you checked to make sure the lift tray is level and that the gears which sit to the right of the lcf sep roller are not missing a few teeth?
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.
