Your Advice Toshiba e-studios 3511

Hi I am a former tech (15 yrs) for Toshiba but in the cash register and barcode printer division.
A buddy just called me and wants to but this the 3511 used (between 100000 and 200000 ) copies. He asked me if I knew anything about it.
Being that I work for Toshiba I know I would never get a strait answer from anyone in my company (not that the copier division would even return my calls!)
I thought the best place to ask would be here.
can anyone tell me what this unit would be worth?
Any comment is appreciated.

Only if you want to lose a friend. This is not a bad machine but is labor intense to work on and keep it running properly. A simple service call is 1 hour if it is done correctly. It is not a full color machine it is a business color (256 +/- colors). It runs dirty. It has had a lot of mods for it and firmware updates. If it was for a trained tech to use as a back up or personnel machine then yes otherwise I would go to a 2500c 0r even as a last choice a 351c (newer version and more tech friendly with slightly better color approx 512 colors).

This is just my opinion.

P.s. I was certified, on this model, 6 months after the release by a Toshiba trainer.
