Don't overlook the rear bayonet connector where the fusing section meets the rear frame. The connector is spring loaded so the springs get weak over time and don't make good contact. There is a bulletin # DIG-88 dated 7/29/03 that outlines the fix for this intermittent problem. A repair kit, p/n 6GAC46KIT00 KIT-C46, includes a spacer and two springs. This kit extends the reach of the socket towards the front of the machine allowing better contact. Hopes this helps.
