Toshiba e-Studio 2820c Factory Reset Procedure - End of Lease

    Hi All,

Our Toshiba has reached its End of Lease period and we are getting rid of the device. I am wanting to know how to do a factory reset of an e-Studio 2820C so that all that is listed below are cleared. I have heard a HDD format (08-690) will do it but it will need to have firmware reinstalled. As I am not the service agent, I will not have access to the firmware nor will I know how to install it thus I would not prefer to format the HDD.

I am hoping a clear will do the following:
    • Clear all user settings such as SMTP server, SMB settings,
    • Clear all fax, print, scan logs
    • Clear the address book
    • Clear all stored files

If anyone can help out on the exact steps, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Regards,
    Steve

Thanks for the heads up.... Sounds like I'm going to have to get an agent to come and do the HDD format and firmware reinstall to keep the machine operational after the HDD format.

Just a FYI, co$tly exercise unfortunately.... We should have had the previous service agent do the work before we cancelled the service agreement...

the machine will work fine that stuff don't get effected. You shouldn't have to reload anything
