    Toshiba 453 size detection

Ok so I spent the whole morning trying to figure this out.. customer calls and says that the copier is only copying part of the image on the paper. I get there and test it and get same thing from doc feeder. if you use the glass you get nothing on the copy. after ever copy you get a Check paper size on the control panel jam message.. All drawers do this, even the by pass tray (except the bypass just gives E010) I opened up the doc feeder and did a sky shot and the scanner goes all the way to the far end of the glass and comes out empty and gives the check paper size jam. If I put a paper on the glass and move it around the sensors are changing the drawer to the correct one. I left the paper on the glass with the ADF open and the scanner scans past the paper and continues to the other side before coming back. the drum shows the black on it from the sky shot but its not transferring to the paper. Any idea would be great.. thanks..

Does the paper size in the drawer match what's programmed in? For example is the letter sized paper named LT on the screen? Is the letter-R sized paper labelled LT-R?

If no, clear all print jobs, then go to User Functions > Drawer > then program the trays correctly. Most of the time it's not incorrect original size detection, it's mis-programmed paper size in the tray. The proof will be E062 jams on the jam log. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

It may be the Original Detect Sensor/Flag on the L/H rear of M/C under RADF, still detecting a previous size.
