Toshiba es352 no display, fans run

    No display, no panel response.
Power supply fan runs, hard drive runs, fuser heats up. No motors engage, scanner lamp doesn't come on, no network response, but network leds light up.

Checked fuses, swapped fuser, tried power on with doors open and hard drive disconnected, no change. Couldn't see anything obvious.

Customer stated they would have to reboot machine sometimes in the morning because the display wouldn't come on.

A couple of the control panel wires were flattened behind fax board, but still had insulation, I played with the harness a bit to see if the screen would flicker but didn't make a difference.

I'm going to try the harness and see if that is the culprit, but they didn't seem that bad.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks

Machine should cycle over to complete initialisation, try removing RAM & cleaning contacts or replacing.
Clean all Addon PCB contacts, reseat all connectors on all PCBs.
To eliminate Control Panel, unplug connector & boot up, machine should still cycle over or cause an Error beep.

    still no luck

Tried replacing power supply board, control panel and harness, memory. still doing the same thing.

Seems after the machine sits powered off for a while when turned back on the screen will come on, the machine will cycle but screen freezes at the picture of the copier, and then do nothing.

I got it into 05 mode once but it just sat at please wait warming up. After power cycle, display went blank again and only fans ran.

Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards the system board as the culprit, but my parts machine didn't have it.

Also I saw another post that a guy used a recovery jig to get the machine back up, but I believe his was due to a corrupt firmware upgrade

    Thanks!

Can you get into 49 mode to load firmware? I'd try that first. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
