Bad Printing eStudio 45

We bought this machine used a year ago from the company we had a contract with on an older machine. He has come out MANY times because of jams in the exit rollers. It's been a bit tricky since it usually only jams the very first copy of the morning (it's in power save mode all night). Usually I get to the office to find that a junk fax has jammed. It still jams at least once a day but I can live with that easier than I can with the new problem!

Now, all of a sudden in the middle of a print job the pages began to have light lines, kind of a gridwork, missing/faded. There are no error or other messages.

I've attached a .pdf of a page I printed, it was a square black box but the pattern is clearly visible in it.

If there is anything I can do to solve this, your help is much appreciated.

- Robert

It looks like the main charge corona is shorting out or the grid came loose or broke. I had a similar problem and it was the grid that had came loose.

The man/company that services the machine supplies the toner, it's labeled "Katun" If it was an eBay special, he's the one that got the special!!

Could this problem be strictly a developer issue due to this toner?. I pulled the developer unit and checked the drum (which was replaced recently by the guy.)

Thanks, Robert

I've used Katun toner on this model for years and never a problem. When you pulled the drum unit out did you check the main charge corona? make sure it is clean and that the grid is in place.
