    Weird Problem

I have narrowed the problem down to when atempting to use the ADF (only) the console freezes up. I disconnect the ADF and ran 50 copies with no problems. I'm thinking that it might be the board in the ADF. Any ideas?

Exit sensor in Doc Feeder is bad. For some reason on ther 2460, 2570, and 3580 they freeze the op panel when they go bad. On the 2060, etc., they just show jam indicator when they die.

I know will sound wierd, but I had a 2570 with the control panel freezing up and not for adf problem. It ended up with the main charge assy. But also the TS Assy can give you the problem. Make sure you have the mod kit installed for that main charge assy. This mode is a countermeasure to MC arching problem. When arching, it freezes the equipment. You can test the opening the equipment and testing the bias throu the service code.
    Hope this help you.
