    ... accordian at the registration roller, with no image on the paper and no latent developed image on the drum.

    I've heard of these drum drive pins shearing, but only saw one for the first time today. The old piece is easy enough to press out of the shaft with vice grips. The hard part was matching the spring pin. It's 2.5mm x 15.5mm and uncommon enough that I don't have a single spare that size. But I do happen to have a #40 drill bit (0.098"), which happens to fit perfectly in the shaft and gear. My drill bit is now 15.5mm shorter.

    I shouldn't have too much difficulty finding replacement pins. =^..^=

    Other than the pin, main drive belt also will worn out...happen on e255

    I've found a simple way to press out the broken bit of spring pin ($4.00 material cost, + 1/2 hour at the drill press):

    First test today. It seems to work nicely. The next improvement will be to include a way to press the new pin. I've got two potential modified designs on the mental drawing board. =^..^=

    Tool version 2

    This one removes the broken pin, and presses in the replacement. You can't see it, but there is a #37 x 2.5mm hole in the opposite end of the screw to hold the pin and drive it in.

    Could you use a new roll-pin as the drift to push the broken pin out at the same time in one operation?
