    Toshiba's "new" 85+ ppm machine

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfG4...ature=youtu.be

Toshiba has rebadged the Sharp MXM854 series and is now attempting to pass it off as their own. Typically when copier companies share machines they'll at least change the covers to make it appear different. You can even hear the guests in the video say "that's a Sharp" because of the sheer laziness involved here.

Skip to near the 9 minute mark to see the machine in question. What kind of garbage is this? They couldn't have taken any effort to make it look even slightly different?

They did the same thing to a Ricoh box, calling it a Toshiba E950 or something close to it. It was a nightmare to learn the ricoh technology, and after a 7 day school, I never saw one go into my territory. Not saying anything bad about the Ricoh, just amazed when a manufacture decide to re badge a product. After years of OJT on the normal products you have to learn something completely different. Never heard of an SC code before that. They did it again with the Toshiba 4500/5500 color box, but I learned quite well from the 1st time...Offered the school, but declined. Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

btw, how are people finding these little buggers in the field? We've had squeeky fuser drive's, transport belt unit issues and some fax problems.

Not one of the better rebrands

We've had lot's of issues with these, too. Lot's of squeaks and groans. Failed fuser and transfer belts. And the world's slowest response ADF. Press start, wait 30 sec. and then it pulls in the paper. I'm not a fan.
Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?

Toshiba eStudio 160 I think it was called? The rebadged Sharp AR168D/S. That's the only little box like that I ever saw that had a scanner home position sensor fail; except that box has no home position sensor...
