    E-Studioi 4540C needle electrode

Just got some used machines in to rebuild. For the life of me, I can't replace the charge electrode. is there some trick to this?

So what's the problem? You have the primary on the table. You release the grid at the spring loaded end. You rotate the cleaner rod gently to remove the cleaner. Lastly, you pull out a little on the spring loaded end to slip it over the top. No sweat.

This primary isn't much different than every other Toshiba. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Loosen the screw on one of the end blocks to give you a bit more play when putting the grid and electrode on. Stops you snapping the pip which holds the needle electrode in place. Then tighten the screw afterwards.

Just to give credit where it is due, this has made my life easier. Dave from Toshiba UK showed me on one of my training courses so all the credit goes to him.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

What is this "training course" that you refer to? =^..^=

I did the product training course in London. On the course I was shown the trick to loosen the screw to take some pressure of the electrode and the grid. So taking it apart and putting back together was not to much of a problem. I still carry the rear end block just incase.

Half asleep and forgot you moved to fixing Toshibas. Sometimes the courses are handy for tips and tricks and a beer after the course.
