Angry Toshiba 281C transfer belt removal

    Hello everyone

I am new to this Forum and I am desperately looking for help troubleshooting my Toshiba 281C photocopier, I have bought the service manual but it is absolutely no help. recently I started having problems copying and printing, (blank copies, yellow stripe when printing, color smudge and discoloration...etc) and that all started when I had a one time paper jam.

anyway I would like to pull the transfer belt and drum drawer out and see if it is damaged or dirty and eventually clean it or replace it...but I have no clue how to do it, I removed the screws that hold the tray to the machine's frame but it won't pull, I am assuming that this is how it should be removed since I noticed a handle on the drawer itself but I could be wrong. (pictures below)

at this point I am about to give up, anyone please help.

    thanks a lot.

Re: Toshiba 281C transfer belt removal

there are a number of things that can cause CF20 - Dev drive clutches worn ( Colour ) / contaminated, gears in revolver unit, teeth broken on revolver unit ( usually due to toner not being fitted correctly ) , Dev worn / missing ( Colour ) , Colour Auto Toner Sensor reference patch ( grey ) stained ( must only ever be blown clean & never touched with anything or it's destroyed ) , revolver motor worn out , revolover motor driver board fault.... that's a few of the possible causes.

To be honest, if you were struggling to get the belt unit out, CF20 is going to be a pain for you.

We are condemning these on a regular basis now as the termination date is approaching & parts will be hard to come by.

Ps the paper is only jammed because the machine is throwing a call for service as the colour kicks in & that's stopping your machine in it's tracks.
