I've got this MCU Comm. error after Mg cartridge was replaced with a compatible one.
I restarted the printer several times, nvm initialization no joy. In Diag mode I can't print anything resulting a Engine error 3 if I remember correctly. So far I didn't get covers off to acces boards due to lack of time. Is there any way to reset this error?

oh, I can log on printer web interface with no problem.

I'm open to any questions, thank's.

I would try a Xerox toner cartridge. If that does not work try upgrading software. If the problem persist replace the MCU board.

I found an open 1A fuse on Power Supply unit, I change it and all works great. Seems like the Mg cartridge had a bad design and the chip pins got shorted with the reader.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
