The schematic is somewhat hidden. Go to RAP,s , then other faults, then IOT low voltage, then 24vdc. It shows that there are 8 fuses on the tray PWB, f1 thru f8. F1 feeds the whole board for 24vdc, and also the interlock switch. I was using the edoc for this problem, not a paper manual. When you shorted the interlock switch power to frame, the fuses are safety devices that blow to prevent the board from damage.

Have you checked the actual bypass tray cover switch?

Sorry for the long delay in responding, we had a lot of other things in the works.

Yes, the switch is testing just fine.

    Still at a lost.

did you check the bypass interlock switch if it is working ? This may not be the problem, but i would look at what the machine is pointing to first. Maybe you did, but just checking.

Hello all. The last post is for the error code but I did not see in the posts prior about an error code on this one. If you have the High Cap Feeder or Oversized High Cap Feeder then check in the feed assembly from tray to just under the bypass tray. Open the door with the bypass and manually press in the switch (use something hard and thin like cardboard or letter opener and see if the machine goes back to ready or makes a noise in the finisher area, this is the Jam Clearance procedure. If not you now can trace backwards from the switch to the board. May just be the door needs adjustment to "Fully Depress" the switch or the door has an issue as well.
If this happened after an "Angry Jam Removal Procedure" to include but not limited to non conventional tools being used, than you may have other issues. I would recommend that you get the front door interlock fixed as I have seen those cause issues during long print runs, jiggling the "Cheat switches or what ever you want to call the jerry rigged system that cheats the locks" loose, throwing wrongs codes for front door interlock or finisher errors. Even seen jams during a single copy. Personally I use a blank key to cheat those switches.
