    Xerox 7760DN

Hi guys. I don't normally work on Xerox machines so I'm really struggling on this one. It seems the transfer belt is slipping from the locked position. The service manually addresses this. However, I need to replace one of the motors. I've checked the service manual for this 7760DN and it doesn't mention this at all. Has anybody replaced one of the motors on these? Any tips? Thanks!

Are you getting any codes? It is rare for a motor to go out on one of these.

    Thanks for your reply.

To be honest, I'm not sure. They called someone else who diagnosed it, they ordered a motor, and then he said he couldn't install it. I haven't seen it yet, but I do like to be prepared. I'm just not familiar enough with this Xerox.

Took a look at it today, and I have no error codes showing. The reason he ordered a motor was the registration was off. I did regcon and got it very close, but it's still off, sadly by a smaller increment than they offer in software. Anybody know how to make a smaller adjustment?

    Thanks!
