Xerox wc 5325 Failure to feed in long edge/landscape

    Hi friends
i have a problem with xerox wc 5325, it feeds only in short edge.
If i use long edge feed, the machine jams frequently and this means tray 3 and4(high capacity trays) do not work because are defaulted in landscape form. I need some help because short edge ok and without jamming

You might have something in the paper path blocking the paper from passing LEF but does not touch the paper when fed SEF.

    Questions to ask yourself:
    1. Does the jamming with LEF happen with all 5 trays? 1-4 & bypass.
    2. Does the paper get jammed at the same spot each time?
    3. Is the lead edge of the paper damaged when the jam happens?

If your jams happen at the same location, I would inspect the paper path for a small piece of paper blocking.
If LEF only happens from trays 3&4, make sure the side guides in the trays are not broken. If the pinion gear is broken off the shaft, it allows the rear side guides to not lock down. If you push the front guide in to take up the room, now your paper stack is centered too far to the rear and it can catch and jam when fed through the machine.

If none of the above is any help, look at machine status and find the exact Jam Codes that are recorded and report back.
