Thumbs up wc7556 had motor noise and current fault history is 392.312 + 392.313

WC7556 with motor moaning noise and then faults 392.312 + 392.313 apparently refers to developer unit M + Y. Any help is greatly appreciated. Does on motor turn 2 dv units?

Also customer had turned on and off several times and now it is necessary to go into UI mode. I went into this mode and selected adjustments and then selected DC131 but when screen came up I was not sure what to do. I had changed a drive motor but it may have been wrong one. I changed 127k64440. Please help. You assistance is very much appreciated. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

    Hello

Please check the following below :
Find out how this come about from the user it might be wrong toner ,this means alot b'se it might be that this toner is baked with particals inside, or toner refill etc.

Although this Fail can be cleared by turning the power OFF and ON and it will be possible to output a few sheets of printouts, when this Fail has occurred a certain number of times, it will no longer be clearable by turning the power OFF and ON. To clear it, clear the value of DC131 [752-346] (ATC Fail [Y]) or DC131 [752-350] (ATC Fail Continuous Count [Y]) to "0". If the machine is not repaired back to normal status, this Fail will occur again during the operation.

    • The connection between the ATC Sensor (Y) and the ATC PWB J124 for open circuit, short circuit, and poor contact
    • The connection between the ATC PWB J633 and the MD PWB J528 for open circuit, short circuit, and poor contact
    • The Toner Dispense Motor (Y) for revolution failure: DC330 [093-001]

    • The Drum/Dev Drive Motor (Y, M, C) for revolution failure (7525/30/35): DC330 [091-026]

    • The Drum Drive Motor (Y, M, C) for revolution failure (7545/56): DC330 [091-027]

    • The Dev Drive Motor (Y, M, C) for revolution failure (7545/56): DC330 [093-022]

    • The path from Toner Cartridge (Y) to Developer (Y) for toner blockage
    • The Developer (Y) for internal toner blockage
    • The Toner Cartridge (Y) for internal toner blockage

If no problems are found, replace the following parts in sequence:

    • ATC Sensor (Y)

    • ATC PWB

    • MD PWB (7525/30/35)

    • MD PWB (7545/56)

    • MCU PWB (7525/30/35)

    • MCU PWB (7545/56)

Thumbs up Re: wc7556 had motor noise and current fault history is 392.312 + 392.313

I believe it is a motor problem. I would guess developer drive motor. I heard the motor straining very loudly. I need to find out which motor is the problem. Also if i change the motor I may still need to clear the DC131 value but don't know how to do that. I entered the UI mode and selected DC131 for adjustment but what I d tried did not work. I may have done it wrong.

Here is what I saw when I clicked on read for the DC131 values for 752.346 + 752.350

    752.346 (M) 752.350 (M)
VALUE DEFAULT MIN MAX VALUE DEFAULT MIN MAX
    `1 0 0 1 6 0 0 1

    752.347 (Y) 752.351 (Y)
VALUE DEFAULT MIN MAX VALUE DEFAULT MIN MAX
    1 0 0 1 6 0 0 255

I am not sure but I think I was suppose to clear the value to 0. I pressed clear and manually changed to 0 but when I went back to readings the previous value was still there. The machine won'y go to ready and system unavailable. I think I m doing the UI adjustment wrong. Any help is appreciated. I am afraid I will have to tell customer to go to Xerox on this and this has been a good customer.

When they were using the machine it would make the loud noise from motor and the machine would stop job. Then customer would turn machine off and on and continue job. After certain amount of failures I guess due to M and Y dv units not turning the system became unavailable and customer could no longer turn off and on the resume use of machine

In the meantime I had ordered motor but may have ordered wrong one. I replaced part #127K64440

Customer will be calling shortly to see if I was able to get more info for getting system back in UI mode. Please help if you can. I will try to explore job of each motor. There is 127k64430, 127k64440, 126k64420 and 2 of 127k64400. Please help me with this if you cn. I would gladly pay for your help if I can get machine back up. Frank

Thumbs up Re: wc7556 had motor noise and current fault history is 392.312 + 392.313

I found the DC131 NVM read/write procedure on page 6.7 of SM and executed successfully and brought system back up. I checked the parts section and PL 3.3B which contains drum /dv drive section does not show the parts individually but the whole asm. including 4 motors. I have ordered the dm/dv drive asm. new part #007K16829 and this should take care of drive issue.

The machine can print/copy black but if color is attempted then fault codes and loud motor noise. Also if machine is turned off and on then on start up you may get motor sound and fault. Told customer to keep machine on until part arrives as they usually turn off when leaving office.

Have seen various new faults preceding with 389. and 392. but am optimistic that these will stop when drive asm. is installed.

Have also see a couple of 374.940 faults on startup which refers to tray 4 lift fault. Will check tray 4 and or connections when I return to customer. Frank
