Needs to see its configuration print out. Without that who is going to know what you're missing.

my scan to pc steps (I use FTP protocol)
    1. take note of the machine IP address and computer destination(s) IP address
    2. Try ping the machine IP from the computer by using CMD
    3. Install FTP Client program to each computer(s), I use FTP UTILITY software from Konica Minolta (easy to use and works well)
    4. Create a new folder as scan destination (you don't need to share this folder)
    5. Run the FTP utiltity settings
    6. leave the port as 21
    7. browse root folder to the scan folder that you just created
    8. Uncheck the anonymous and fill in user as 12345 and password 12345 (this is optional, as i'm lazy to type anonymous as user and password)
    9. Go to the machine, log in with the user 11111
    10. Go to add address book
    11. Address type is server
    12. Give it a name
    13. Choose FTP
    14. enter the computer IP address in the host ip address
    15. leave the shared name and save path empty (the ftp client software will take care of this)
    16. enter the user as 12345 and password 12345
    17. test the scan to pc.
    18. Make sure the Ftp utilities program is running before doing the scan

if one day the IP of the computer , then you need to set from the router something called dchp reservation. This will reserve the IP to the mac address of the computer.

    good luck

I attached the ftp utility programAttachment 35190

If you're using Windows SMB for scan to folder, you might want to check your TCP/IP adapter settings. Windows has recently gone with "NetBIOS over DHCP" as the default setting, which for some reason SMB scan to file doesn't like too much. Switching it back to "NetBIOS over TCP/IP" might give you better luck.

    Xerox scan setup

Setup a template in Scans tab

    Add New

    File Destination scans (for example)

    Friendly Name: scans (for example)

    Default Repository Protocol: SMB

    Hostname or IPv4 Address: IE. ANYPC01 or 192.168.1.65 Port 139 or 445

    Share: share name: IE. Shared

Doc Path: folder name IE. scans

Login Credentials: Login name: Domain\Username (suggest creating user account for scanning - scanner)

    Password: ()set never to expire/change

    Select Stored in template option

If shown untick save job log (.XST)

    Then Save/Add

    Re: Xerox scan to pc

As long as file and printer sharing enabled on PC windows firewall should be ok, if not allow smb scans on ports 139 & 445

Some Antivirus/Internet security packages have to be configured, usually have add the scanner as a trusted device (norton360, mcafee, avg etc)

Just make sure the user account has full read write permissions in the scans folder.
