    5655 adf multi feed

Ok we replaced the feed assembly with tires and it still pulls multiple pages in. Tried tighten the solenoid spring also. Looks like it operates fine just pulling too many in.

    Any ideas?

Ive had a few of these dadf's just get worn out and crappy. Exact same failure. Fix was just to pull the lid and toss it. You'll find used 56xx lids on the cheap.

They can only suck so many sheets before they are EOL.

I also have had same issues with these 5600 series dadf rollers. But I cant clearly get your explanation of how to fix it.

Thats because I dont have a fix. Its like they just get loose and worn out. I end up swapping in another used lid and tossing the bad feeding one.

Oh! I get your point now. I also do the same but the problem is that new ones just do a few feeds before they start multi feeding.

Even brand new they will multi feed on occasion. Is the source media poor?

Make sure you are not using those crappy "sponge" type retard roller tires. Those always caused multi-sheet feeding for me.
The only good thing they are for is fixing the sunken in Start Key on 4150 /4250 machines by cutting them in half and placing them under the key.

Good One!!! But the Xerox Dadf feed roller kit ( 113R00718 ) always comes with the same crappy " sponge " type of retard roller tires. Where can I get a better type of the tires?
